Building Brand Attitude: Behind the scenes at Lantern

Ryan Tym, Lantern CEO, The Brand Attitude Agency

Ahead of our appearance at YCN's Placemaking event, we spoke to the organisation about the power of attitude and narrative in our process.

Too often, creative agencies can overlook the importance of language in bringing personality to the brands with which they work. But at Lantern, narrative is where the design journey begins – ensuring that when a brand speaks, its audience listens.

Ahead of our appearance at their Placemaking event at King's Cross in April, we spoke to creative consultancy YCN, to provide insight into how we bring character and personality to the brands we shape, looking to some of our recently completed projects to demonstrate.

On the evening of the 17th of April, our Founder and Director, Ryan, will be joining a panel of industry experts to share our learnings from planning and designing destinations with purpose and personality. Together, we'll be discussing the importance of properly identifying the needs of people using a space; how to curate the right mix of businesses, amenities and services to meet these needs; and the role of design and branding in bringing a destination to life and giving it an identity that they can relate to.

Joining Ryan on the panel will be Robin Dobson, Development Director at Hammerson, which owns and manages retail properties across Europe and Morag Myerscough, founder of Studio Myerscough, whose eye-catching placemaking and wayfinding solutions are designed to help people connect with physical spaces, whether that's at The Old Vinyl Factory incubator and workspace, the Royal London Hospital, or the Barbican.
